Switchboard Upgrade - Fairy Meadow

The owners of this Fairy Meadow home had been living with an old ceramic fuse board that offered no electrocution protection at all. With young kids in the house, they wanted the peace of mind that comes from a board built to current standards.

What we found

The original board was a patchwork of rewireable fuses with a single shared circuit feeding most of the house. There was no individual safety switch protection, which meant a fault anywhere could put the whole family at risk.

The upgrade

We stripped out the old gear and installed a clean new enclosure with every circuit split onto its own Type A RCD. The mains were re terminated properly, the earthing was brought up to standard, and everything was labelled clearly so the homeowner knows exactly what each switch controls.
