Outdoor Ceiling Fan Install - Shellharbour

This Shellharbour homeowner loved entertaining outdoors but their alfresco area turned into a heat trap on still summer days. They wanted a fan that could handle the coastal conditions and move some air.

The right fan for the spot

Outdoor areas near the coast need a fan that is properly rated for moisture and salt air. A standard indoor fan would not last. We selected an IP rated outdoor fan built to cope with the environment.

The work

We installed a suitable mounting point in the alfresco ceiling, wired the fan back to a weatherproof switch, and made sure everything was rated for outdoor use from the fixing through to the controls.
