Emergency Fault Find & Repair - Figtree

This Figtree family called us after their power kept tripping out and would not stay on. With the fridge and freezer at risk, they needed someone who could find the problem quickly rather than just resetting the switch and hoping.

The investigation

Intermittent faults are all about methodical testing. We isolated each circuit one by one, measured insulation resistance, and narrowed the fault down to an outdoor power point where water had been getting in behind the cover.

The fix

We removed the damaged outlet, made the connections safe, and fitted a properly weather rated power point with a solid seal. Once that was sorted we tested the circuit thoroughly to confirm the tripping was gone for good.
